76273BRJob Posting Title:Director Workforce DevelopmentDepartment:Human ResourcesAutoReqId:76273BRStatus:Full-TimeStandard Hours per Week:40 Job Posting Category:Human ResourcesJob Posting Description: The Director of Workforce Development and Training is a key leadership position within our healthcare organization, responsible for creating and implementing strategies that develop pipelines of talent for key roles and foster employment opportunities at BCH within the community. This role cultivates interest in, and access to employment opportunities at BCH through of variety of channels. This role also collaborates with appropriate partners on job training, career coaching and professional development. Building and nurturing relationships with community partners is an essential element of this position. The role will also partner with the Trust, BCH’s fundraising team, as well as seeking other grant support to help secure funding for key programs to support the workforce needs of BCH.

The Director of Workforce Development & Training will be responsible for:

  • Talent Pipeline Development, develop and implement strategies to build robust talent pipelines for critical roles within the organization.

  • Collaborating with Talent Acquisition to align programming and delivery with overall workforce planning.

  • Partnering with educational institutions, professional associations, and community organizations to create pathways for students and professionals to enter healthcare careers.

  • Coordinating internship, residency, and fellowship programs to attract and develop emerging talent.

  • Utilizing HR systems/databases to develop CRM strategy to engage pipeline talent for future opportunities.

  • Training and Development: Design and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance employee skills and career development.

  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements through continuous education initiatives, including, partnership with Talent Management, develop specialized training modules to prepare employees for leadership roles and other key positions.

  • Community Engagement and Partnership: Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to promote healthcare careers.

  • Developing and oversee community outreach programs aimed at increasing awareness and interest in healthcare professions.

  • Organizing job fairs, career workshops, and informational sessions to engage with potential candidates from diverse backgrounds.

  • Managing the workforce development budget, ensuring effective use of resources.

  • Identifying and applying for grants and funding opportunities to support workforce initiatives.

  • Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of workforce development programs and initiatives.

  • Managing the successful development and operation of key WFD programs in collaboration with other key stakeholders.

  • Developing processes and procedures to enable scalability of programs and ability to transition facilitation to key stakeholders where appropriate.

  • Developing appropriate reporting and analytics to help evaluate program performance and drive continuous improvement.

  • Managing internship programs for the enterprise.

    To qualify, you must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, Master’s degree a plus.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in human resources or workforce development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in healthcare is highly desirable

  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.

  • Established relationships with Community partners in the New England Region is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. Proficiency in HR software and systems. Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements in healthcare.
