Delaware North Email Solutions Developer, TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts

The Opportunity

The Boston Bruins and TD Garden seek an experienced Email Developer with the ability to own and build business-critical email automations. This individual’s work will help scale how the organization uses the channel to communicate with fans and customers, playing a pivotal role in developing, optimizing, and deploying high-quality, personalized email campaigns that engage our audience effectively.

The ideal candidate will have experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. SFMC, Eloqua, HubSpot, etc.) and the technical languages that automate these platforms. Strong candidates will also have a broader understanding of the Marketing process, with an intuition into how to proactively improve the customer journey and experience. This individual will sit at the intersection between strategy and execution, working directly with both the Digital and Business Intelligence teams to scale and perfect various customer-facing email cadences and flows.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $75000 - $101200 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain automation workflows for various email marketing campaigns.

  • Working directly with a team of specialists, design dynamic data-supported and interactive templates for email marketing assets.

  • Create customer journeys that are personalized and automated experiences, leveraging technology to engage and convert fans into customers, while also tracking relevant associated data to draw insights.

  • Working with the Business Intelligence team, build actionable consumer segments to better understand customer profiles, behaviors, and preferences.

  • Develop integrations between the email marketing platform and other systems, such as Salesforce CRM and other adjacent platforms.

  • Using SQL, query and build data models to create data extensions and import, export, and manipulate data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related analytical field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3 - 5 years of work experience in email marketing automation.

  • Formal certification in SFMC (Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist or Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Developer) or another platform equivalent strongly preferred.

  • Previous exposure to email marketing platforms (e.g. SFMC, Eloqua, HubSpot), with direct experience using technical skills (e.g. SQL, AMPscript, Server-side JavaScript, CSS, HTML) to automate on those platforms.

  • Experience using platform-specific tools such as Automation Studio, Marketing Cloud Journey Builder, Marketing Cloud Connect, etc. (or alternate platform equivalents) to automate, scale, and integrate marketing platforms with(in) other components of an organization’s technology stack.

  • Experience augmenting the above with tools such as Python, custom APIs, and advanced SQL to support complex use cases a plus.

  • Familiarity with AWS / Redshift (or similar database platforms) also a plus.

  • Strong understanding of email marketing processes and best practices, as well as the underlying architecture of those systems and platforms.

  • Experience in the Sports, Media, and Entertainment industry a plus; specifically, experience working with ticketing / event-related data is preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to analyze sophisticated problems and devise creative, but practical solutions.

  • Ability and desire to be part of a fast-paced environment with changing projects and priorities.

  • Highly resourceful and disciplined, with strong emotional intelligence and self-motivation.

  • Comfort with and disciplined to manage highly sensitive confidential information.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
