Job Description

Our most strategic and highest value customers require a new model of Salesforce Enterprise Architecture partnership in order to ensure customer success, continuous innovation and realization of business value. We call this the “ Enterprise Architect ”. The EA is the Salesforce Enterprise Architecture leader at the customer tasked with delivering groundbreaking business outcomes with our customers. The EA aligns with customer Executive Leadership, IT, line of business leaders in order to help customers realize their most strategic goals. The EA earns the role of trusted advisor and wins the hearts and minds of the customer by developing and carrying out blueprints (based on Salesforce Illuminate methodology). As a Architect you are responsible for:

  • Aligning closely customer Executive Leadership and driving the digital outcomes with a strategic vision. Enterprise Architect brings Salesforce Enterprise Architecture PoV and vision to facilitate and accelerate these conversations and their outcomes.

  • Collaborating with the Salesforce Account team, participate in account strategy & planning, developing Enterprise Architecture POV, Vision and roadmap for action-based execution.

  • Working with Salesforce Account Executive Sponsor to drive executive, impactful customer briefings and executive programs.

  • Coordinating closely with customer success, product development and other departments to drive industry capability leadership, technical alignment, priorities, accelerators and other programs.

  • Partnering with Customer Enterprise Architects to elevate Salesforce Customer Success Platform and Illuminate to corporate standards, making Salesforce the platform of choice.

  • Driving time-to-value realization for customers by collaborating with SI implementation partners to demonstrate enterprise architecture standard methodologies to facilitate rapid, successful solution deployments.

This role will be aligned to Salesforce’s Emerging Manufacturing business segment which consists of Salesforce customers and prospects for both Discrete and Process Manufacturing. These strategic customers are typically looking to modernize their commercial operations, transform their service experiences, and/or enable their workforces of the future, and Salesforce is typically in alignment with key customer C-level executives to enable desired outcomes.

  • Annual Contract Value (ACV): Increase our ACV potential by innovative and transformation GTM initiatives

  • Customer Success: Digital outcome value realization

  • Industry Go To Market (GTM) wins

  • Innovative sales motions & programs

  • AOV (Annual Order Value): Drive customer AOV by growing the adoption and consumption of Salesforce products and capabilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent work experience

  • 10+ years experience in either Enterprise software, systems or enterprise architecture subject areas

  • Good understanding of the architectural principles of cloud based platforms including SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy, multi-tiered infrastructure, etc.

  • Good understanding of all cloud offerings in the market and ability to discuss cloud architectures

  • Good understanding of enterprise application integration, including SOA, ESB, EAI, ETL environments as well as common EA topics such as process orchestration, BPM, CEP, MDM, BI/BA, etc.

  • Good understanding of the security processes, standards & issues involved in multi-tier cloud or hybrid applications

  • Familiar with principles of network, application and information security

  • Good understanding of enterprise application integration technologies as well as common EA topics such as persona based journeys, process orchestration, master data management, analytics and insights, artificial intelligence, etc.

  • Systems problem solver, eloquent and balanced in demeanor with streamlined written and verbal communication skills


B.S. of Computer Science, Software Engineering or related degree

Bachelor’s Degree Required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior industry Enterprise Architecture

  • Previous practitioner and/or implementation experience of Salesforce solutions or relevant solutions

  • Familiar with relevant (regional, vertical, etc.) data privacy and compliance requirements

  • Familiar with solution selling

  • Experience in sales/pre-sales strongly desired

  • Salesforce related development experience (, Java or C#, JavaScript), mobile development, modern frameworks, etc.

  • Experience of architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, etc.

  • Familiar with design thinking and similar principles

For Colorado-based roles: Minimum annual salary of $125,720. You may also be entitled to receive incentive compensation, bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
