Canon Business Process Services Exhibit and Display Technician in Boston, Massachusetts
Overview
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for providing project support and assistance in the operation of the Client Innovation Center. Tasks vary by client engagements and the technology that is being demonstrated. Responsibilities include
technology setup, testing, assistance with client walk throughs and breakdown of tech displays. Additional responsibilities include inventory management, working with vendor partners and maintaining reporting metrics as required by client. Must be able to complete
tasks independently and is comfortable working with high level clients.
Responsibilities
Performs facilities administration duties as defined and agreed upon by the client and Canon. Primary responsibilities include:
Vendor coordination, security/safety, and various administrative duties and following open tickets to resolution.
Assist were possible on being first responder to closing out facilities tickets before contacting outside vendor.
Manage work orders that come from the client's work ticket system; provide reporting on facilities tag requests, trends, etc. as required.
May direct other Supplier services on site.
Maintaining and entering data.
Project and task support as requested.
Onboard/deploy and maintain 60+ technology solutions on the showcase floor.
Troubleshoot and repair various machines/equipment, often minutes before tours with various.
Support for C-level Executives.
Test demos regularly to mitigate downtime.
Assist in tours in the absence of a Solutions Strategist.
Work on-the-fly to assure that tours run smoothly as customer expectations change or the tour leader identifies additional points of interest to add value.
Drive Digital Experience vignettes during tours to demonstrate cohesive pairing of the client's various solutions.
Assist engineers in the lab with various projects as the need arises, including the installation of 1st 5G NR node on the west coast.
Participated in power user trials for the client's commercial devices, including intensive testing, stress testing, compatibility testing.
Provide Support to C level Executives such as:
Connectivity
Presentation Room set-ups
Tech displays
Demonstrations – Innovation Center
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS/MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS
Long periods of time spent on feet
May require some lifting
Mental qualifications include ability to perform all responsibilities efficiently and effectively
Qualifications
Must have at least a High School diploma or the equivalen
Experience with using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience with Google Mail, Google Doc, Google Sheets, Google Drive, and Slack
Experience with Wasp a plus
Project Leader, Team Leader, Manager, experience
Must read, write, and speak clear English, additional languages helpful but not required.
Customer Service and problem solving skills
Self starter
