To learn more, please see We are currently seeking an Externship Support Representative (ESR) to join the team! As an ESR you will be responsible for working with students under the capacity of career services specific to the externship program. Regular tasks will include working with students on all aspects of the externship application process, coaching candidates regarding professional readiness (resume building, cover letter creation, email, and phone etiquette, and/or interview prep) and supporting both the Post Completion Representative and the Externship Specialist in program development and maintenance. What you'll do here: + Assist students with externship application requirements including navigating and completing all documentation needed to be considered eligible for externship placement and make sure students comply with all established host policies, procedures, and safety expectations. + Must create and support a consistent relationship with students through the duration of the externship program via email and phone call to encourage and monitor towards program completion. + Maintain system for data collection as it relates to the externship program and student success rates, placement, and overall outcomes. + Serve as a liaison to advocate for students as an externship site broke by negotiating affiliate agreements for externship opportunities on behalf of students. + Provide students with documents required for externship tracking and program conclusion. + Assist with additional duties as assigned by the Externships Specialist + Maintain up-to-date information on externship sites, including organizing data in an easy to facilitate manner. Skills you will need here: + Associates Degree with 2+ years of client/student services experience in employment support programs or student services programs + Successful experience working remotely with clients/students (by phone, email, or zoom) + Creative problem-solving skills + Experience working with data collection, organization, and interpretation as applicable to workforce program improvement + Experience working with sensitive information and has training in FERPA (preferred). + Experience working with students transitioning from student to employee within career development programs such as externships, internships, apprenticeships, ready-to-hire programs, etc. + Experience negotiating or working with placement site managers for contract development and positive partner relationship development + Experience supporting students while on site fulfilling clinical or work experience hours and completing entry level job tasks + Ability to communicate ideas and expectations clearly and concisely through verbal or written communications + Ability to seek out information from third party affiliates on behalf of students as a support services authority + Experience working with computer operating systems such as Microsoft forms, Excel spread sheets, Salesforce, Admin Tools, Tableau, and Box + Work comfortably with people with a diverse set of backgrounds + Results oriented and competitive drive required + Proven understanding of technical and procedural aspects and functions + Exhibit persistence and positive attitudes in establishing and encouraging a learning environment + Outstanding time management and organizational skills Ed2go, part of Cengage Group, has empowered millions of learners looking to improve their skills, get employed, and build a career.
