As an Applied Statistician you will enjoy working in fast paced environment with large-scale mission critical data, latest machine learning technologies, and the ability to turn ideas into actionable products for a federal client. Individuals in this role are expected to be working directly with customers, have passion for solving complex problem sets, work independently and collaboratively with team members experienced with Agile methodology.

(i) Design experiments to compare the performance of different systems.

(ii) Develop statistical models to predict relevant results.

(iii) Determine statistically significant patterns in data and identify

measurements that have no statistical validity.

(iv) Develop forecasting models.


Basic Qualification:

  • Minimum 2 years statistical knowledge in the following areas: descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, regression and correlation analysis

  • Minimum 2 years with logistic regression, decision tree, time-series techniques, and other statistical techniques.

  • Minimum 2 years with experiment design methodology and measurement system analysis

  • Minumum 1 year experience with R, Scala, Java, and/or Python

  • Minimum 1 year experience with machine learning software, such as Python Scikit, TensorFlow, and/or Spark MLLib

  • Minimum 1year experience with SQL

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematicsor related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's Degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or related field

  • Strong ability to communicate results in clear and effective manner

  • Experience with Agile methodology

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
