Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians Female Pelvic Medicine Reconstructive Surgeon in Boston, Massachusetts
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is seeking a full-time surgeon to join the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) and lead the development of a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary transgender surgical care program. Our current transgender surgical services are dispensed independently by dedicated providers throughout the BIDMC clinical community. The candidate will lead the effort to consolidate and streamline the delivery of surgical care to transgender patients. Ideal candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Urogynecology/Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and commited to the delivery of surgical care for transgender patients.
The FPMRS division at BIDMC cares for a diverse patient population and excels at offering minimally invasive surgical treatments. We also are commited to training the next generation of providers. We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates a commitment to research and quality improvement and has a strong interest in actively participating in the education of FPMRS fellows. We are cognizant that transgender services are constantly evolving and are supportive of opportunities for additional sponsored training in gender affirming procedures for the candidate.
Ambulatory care and surgeries will take place both at the main BIDMC campus in Boston and our affiliate hospitals in the greater Boston area. Salary and academic appointment as instructor, assistant professor, or associate professor at Harvard Medical School in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
