Sodexo Finance Director, Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) in Boston, Massachusetts

Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Finance Director, Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) to manage the financial aspects of two critical IS&T initiatives: Move to Cloud and Information Technology Financial Management (ITFM).

This is a remote position, and the ideal candidate will reside on the East Coast with 20-30% travel to our Bethesda, MD and Buffalo, NY corporate locations. This position will report to the VP, Financial Planning and Reporting but will also work very closely with the North America Chief Information Officer and the VP Finance, Tech and Services.

The Finance Director will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all Move to Cloud related costs are identified, controlled, reported, and that ownership is tied to business functions.

  • Ensuring that Azure and other cloud computing technologies financial management capabilities are properly configured.

  • Developing reports to ensure stakeholders have a transparent view of costs and trends, including updating leadership on risks and opportunities.

  • Addressing all requests regarding YTD spend vs. the Cloud investment.

  • Reviewing the overall NorAm IS&T spend to work with leadership to identify cost optimization opportunities and IS&T management of costs.

  • Documenting the current and future state of the ITFM process and assessing risks against the internal audit action plan. Developing a roadmap to ensure audit compliance in alignment with the timelines defined in the audit plan.

  • Collaborating with Finance leadership (segments and transversal functions) to adopt new ITFM processes for budgets, actual reporting, and forecasting requirements.

  • Collaborating with Group IS&T to ensure NorAm allocation frameworks align with the other Regions across the Group.

  • Driving continuous improvement and adoption of new ways of working within the Cloud and ITFM finance management activities.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • A proven track record in finance with a demonstrated ability to manage large projects and/or SG&A budgets.

  • A team focused work style, with a proven ability to build cohesive relationships. Strong communication skills are a must.

  • A self-initiated drive to grow within the position, with a desire to increase the scope of the job over time. Must have the ability to work independently.

  • A strong financial acumen. Experience with SAP/Essbase is a plus.

  • A conceptual and working knowledge of Azure and other cloud computing financial management capabilities is a plus.

  • A B.S. in Accounting or Finance preferred.

  • An MBA and/or CPA preferred.
