Robert Half Financial Reporting Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

Description

We are on the lookout for a knowledgeable and meticulous Partnership Valuation Reviewer with a focus on Net Asset Value (NAV). The successful candidate will be specifically responsible for providing meticulous reviews of partnership valuations in relation to the NAV of the firm's investment portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct reviews of investment partnership valuations, focusing on NAV calculations for the assigned portfolio.

  • Understand and apply complex accounting concepts such as income recognition, valuation of investments, and calculation of NAV.

  • Ensure accurate valuation of investments and calculation of NAV for portfolios.

  • Assist with the NAV validation process, reconciling NAV movements and providing explanations for variations.

  • Work closely with investment teams and portfolio accountants to resolve discrepancies.

  • Engage with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with company procedures, and regulatory and industry standards.

  • Generate and analyze detailed valuation and performance reports ensuring accuracy.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, and improve subject matter expertise in partnership valuation, and NAV.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in partnership valuation or fund accounting with a focus on NAV.

  • Extensive knowledge of investment partnership accounting and investment operations.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts.

  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.

  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.

  • Knowledge of accounting software and databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification such as CFA, CAIA, or CPA.

  • Experience with investment systems such as Bloomberg.

  • Knowledge of financial regulatory standards.

  • Experience in auditing investment partnerships.
