Facebook is seeking a seasoned professional to join our Infrastructure Construction Management Team as a Project Controls Regional Manager. In this role, you will work closely within the Infrastructure Construction Management (ICM) Project Controls team and various internal departments including Site Project Management teams, Pre-Construction, Contracts, Facility Operations, Finance, Accounting, Global Data Center Connectivity, Sourcing and Operations Engineering, etc. The focus will be on programmatic management of Project Controls for a region within North American for both New Builds and Retrofit projects. The Project Controls Regional Manager is a People Manager role, and will be responsible for management of the site-based Project Controls Analysts and deliverables within their specified region. Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and analytical skills are a must in this highly collaborative and strategic role. This is a full-time position based at our headquarters or any data center in the central region and includes approximately 50% travel to Data Centers within the Region and our headquarters.
Geographical Project Controls Manager Responsibilities:
Lead a team of skilled Project Controls Analyst professionals in accurate financial Project Controls including budget management, forecasting, change management, invoice review, risk facilitation, etc. Responsible for regional team health and culture in alignment with ICM and Facebook values.
Support the Preconstruction team in the review of General Contractor contracts for new projects, gathering of historical data, incorporation of master contract terms, communication and management of finalized internal budget, etc.
Review and ensure accuracy of regional projects’ cost forecasts, cash flow risks, and variances monthly/quarterly for communication to Site Leadership & Strategic Planning & Analytics partners.
Understand and communicate region’s Project Controls Health (financial, schedule, change, and risk) with Geo Project Managers and ICM Leadership.
Support preparation efforts for Quarterly Strategic Planning, Long-Range Planning, and Annual Budget establishment & reporting.
Review regional projects’ Work in Place (WIP) accrual data and back-up for quarterly submission to Finance.
Direct communication with Regional Scheduling Managers to ensure collaboration with Project Controls Analysts and alignment of project health between cost and schedule and overall project risk.
Maintain Relationship with GC Partners (i.e., continual communication of expectations and performance feedback, programmatic initiatives collaboration, etc.).
Representation of Project Controls at Regional Portfolio Health Reviews and Global Leadership Meetings.
Preparation of data & themes and representation at General Contractor Quarterly & Annual Business Reviews.
Strategize and drive programmatic efficiencies and opportunities for the future of Project Controls within ICM, including continued alignment with other Regional Project Controls Managers.
Management of onboarding and training process for new site Project Controls Analysts.
Responsible for people management of 4-5 Site-based Project Controls Analysts within region.
Approximately 50% travel to other Data Center sites within region and home office.
BA/BS in construction management, engineering, or equivalent.
10+ years of experience in construction and project management for various construction programs.
Experience in construction cost forecasting, accrual reporting, Earned Value Management, application for payment reviews, and construction scheduling and planning.
Experience with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Primavera P6.
Experience with cost control tooling (such as eBuilder, Procore, or others).
Experience communicating financial status and schedule details from multiple construction sites to executive management.
People management experience.
2+ years of field experience.
Data center design and construction experience.
