Amazon Web Services Global Partner Leader, Travel & Hospitality in Boston, Massachusetts


Amazon Web Services is looking for a Global Partner Development Specialist to help develop and execute scalable programs and solutions for our community of AWS travel and hospitality partners. As a Global Partner Development Specialist you will have the exciting opportunity to deliver on our strategy to accelerate adoption of AWS cloud computing services with global consulting companies and emerging startups.

In this role you will work cross-functionally with product teams, partner marketing, business and partner development, and AWS field teams. You will help partners build solutions on AWS to solve specific customer challenges. You will develop a go-to-market framework that allows AWS partners to focus their organic development efforts on differentiating technology, and increase their visibility in the market. In this role you should have a business background that enables you to engage at CXO level, the ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, as well as build and convey compelling value propositions. The position requires technical acumen and familiarity with cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with cross functional teams to create a strategic business plan inclusive of build, go-to-market and co-sell motions that meet customer needs with measurable ROI

· Build C-level relationships with our top partners and generate interest in new AWS Solutions focused on travel and hospitality

· Prioritize investments to develop innovative new solutions and scalable programs to support Travel and hospitality initiatives.

· Lead go to market execution in working with partner development managers and partner field sales

· Advise on partner business plans, and co-sell motions to help create “win-win” scenarios across all participants that drive long term value for AWS partners and customers.

· Manage business cadence of a strategic AWS activity, from coordination of stakeholders, reporting mechanisms, and strategic alignment.

· Drive partner sales revenue, solution adoption and program attainment through business reviews to manage progress against the strategic business plan

· Prepare and provide business reviews to AWS and partner senior leaders

· Serve as a key member of the AWS travel and hospitality practice helping to define and deliver the overall go-to-market strategy for the segment

· Effectively team with PR, marketing, legal, and support.

· 10+ years of experience in the travel and/or hospitality industry

· Experience leading technology and consulting partners in hospitality and/or travel

· 10+ years experience in a technology-centric company, holding a role related to business development, partner development, product development and/or alliances management experience

· Experience with Software as a Service or other cloud-based technologies


· Experience working with/for travel/hospitality key international brands

· Experience working with/for a (global) system integrator and/or travel and hospitality technology player

· Understanding of technology and enterprise IT systems in hospitality and/or travel industries

· Demonstrated expertise in software including Software as a Service or other cloud-based technologies

· Knowledge of AWS services and technologies

· Track record of success building a partner ecosystem with solutions or innovation programs

· Published or presented thought leadership on topics relevant to partners and executive decision makers on use of technology in the travel and/or hospitality industry

· Verbal and written communication skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences
