Our team aims to ensure that Facebook is finding and hiring the world's best talent. In this role, you will drive technical research analyses aimed at designing and implementing, selection and assessment solutions that are structured, scalable, candidate centric and bias-mitigating. In partnership with key global stakeholders within People Analytics, across Recruiting, HR, and the business units, this role will lead research projects that will drive the decisions and implementation of highly-effective selection processes using technology-enabled solutions. This role will be responsible for ensuring our assessment processes drive Facebook’s Diversity and Inclusion efforts. The desired candidate will have strong skills relating to research design and statistics, and experience communicating findings and recommendations to decision-makers.

Required Skills:

  1. Apply your expertise in research, quantitative analysis, and data visualization to help Facebook design and evaluate highly effective selection programs

  2. Create compelling narratives with data (e.g., data visualizations, slide decks)

  3. Present statistical analyses and results, along with implications, to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge

  4. Demonstrate exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data and issues

  5. Work with, learn from, and mentor other team members

  6. Conduct reproducible analyses and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing

  7. Lead the full-life cycle of research projects, including research design and execution of statistical analyses

  8. Provide data-driven thought leadership to influence decisions related to complex selection and assessment topics

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. PhD in Industrial/Organizational psychology

  2. Psychometric assessment development experience (e.g. validation and reliability based analyses)

  3. Experience applying statistical methods such as linear and logistic regression, quasi-experimental research/causal inference techniques (e.g., propensity score matching, regression discontinuity), longitudinal analysis, or multilevel modeling

  4. Experience managing and analyzing data using R or Python (or similar programming language)

  5. 5+ years experience conducting quantitative research in one or more of the following areas: selection & assessment, people development or program evaluation

  6. Experience building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders (e.g., clients, business leaders, program/product owners)

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge how to develop and deploy psychometric assessments including test design, construction, and assessment validation (e.g, content validation, construct validation, criterion-related validation)

  2. Experience extracting data from a data warehouse using a programming language (such as SQL)

  3. Experience applying NLP or machine learning methods to people data
