Akelius is seeking an adaptable and highly organized HR coordinator to join the Human Resources team.
The HR coordinator supports the Human Resources team by contributing to a variety of key HR functions.
These functions include benefits and compensation, reporting, and administrative duties.
The successful candidate enjoys collaborating across departments on projects and can multitask in a fast-paced environment.
maintain company directory and other organizational charts
recommend new policies, approaches, and procedures
ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings
create and revise job descriptions
schedule and calendar management
conduct annual salary surveys
develop, revise, and recommend personnel policies and procedures
assist with benefits administration
responsible for full life cycle of employee files
oversee recruitment efforts
conduct phone screenings
facilitate new employee orientations
oversee exit interviews
maintain department records and reports
assist the human resources team with projects as needed
participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
maintain human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database
oversee and develop training schedules and presentations
assists with processing of terminations
is responsible for the e-verify program
assist the HR team with other ad hoc projects and daily tasks
who you are
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, or related field
benefits administration and compensation management experience
two plus years’ experience of HR experience with an emphasis on coordinating projects
ability to adapt to an evolving environment and handle multiple high-volume priorities
excellent time management and organizational skills
ability to handle data with confidentiality
advanced in using Microsoft Office and Excel
ability to anticipate potential issues and work to resolve them
ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
ability to work well independently with limited supervision
