Center For Health Information And Analysis Human Resources Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

As a member of the Human Resources and People Operations Team, your work directly supports agency employees and their efforts to improve the health care system, support the development of data-driven policies that aim to improve the quality and equity of care, while keeping costs affordable for Massachusetts families.  

At CHIA, we foster a flexible, collaborative environment, offering a hybrid model that balances in-person and remote work. Our hybrid approach allows you to work alongside your colleagues in our vibrant Boston office at 501 Boylston Street for at least two designated days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely on others.  

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee key functions and programs within our dynamic team at CHIA. As the Human Resources Manager, you will have the opportunity to:  

  • Drive Effective Performance Management: Harness your expertise in performance, people, and project management to serve as the agency’s lead on the Mass Perform performance management system for managers and bargaining unit employees. Partner with managers to ensure consistency, maximum benefit, and alignment with agency goals at every step in the process. 

  • Lead Classification: Utilize your classification, management, and labor relations expertise to lead position classification.  

  • Lead initiatives: Partner with the Chief People officer and agency colleagues to lead HR and People Operations initiatives that support Agency and business unit priorities.  

  • Champion Diversity Equity Inclusion. Demonstrate your commitment to Diversity Equity and Inclusion through day-to-day work and in supporting agency initiatives.  

    Here are the important qualifications we are looking for:  

  • Effective Communication: Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to utilize multiple communication channels to meet your objectives effectively.  

  • Attention to Details: Use your drive for the details to produce meticulous and high-quality work, meet deadlines, track important information, and achieve and measure results.  

  • Proven Performance Management Leader: Demonstrate an ability to lead and maximize performance management programs. Experience with the Commonwealth’s My Path system is a plus.  

  • HR Expertise: Have at least 5 years of human resources experience, including 3 years of direct experience with position classification.  Experience in a unionized environment is preferred.  

  • Integrity and Commitment to the Mission: CHIA’s success hinges on the integrity of our staff and the work product we deliver. As a leader on the HR team, your commitment to employee confidentiality and privacy is critical.   

  • Educational Foundation: Possess a bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field and or SHRM certification preferred. 

    We value the talent and expertise you bring to the table, so we offer a competitive salary range of $110,000-$125,000 annually for this position.
