State of Massachusetts Human Services Coordinator II - Service Coordinator Supervisor in Boston, Massachusetts

The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is filling the Human Services Coordinator II (HSC II) role in the Greater Boston Area Office. The HSC II will provide leadership, supervision and support to team of Service Coordinators/Support Brokers who facilitate the arranging, budgeting and provision of self-directed services to individuals and families in the Greater Boston Area. _Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):_ * Maintain records and work within HCSIS, PAM and Meditech. * Provide monitoring, review and supervision of ISP development and approval (including ensuring that ISP content accurately reflects all services and other expenditures in the individuals' budget) * Assign individuals to Service Coordinators * Participate in screening, interviewing and selection of candidate for HSC positions * Train new Service Coordinators in job duties * Conduct EPRS for HSC staff * Participate in are planning and protocol development * Work as a member of MASSCAP team for determination of prioritization of services and conduct MASSCAP assessments. * Implement and oversee the Participant Directed Service Delivery system in the Greater Boston Office. * Facilitate education and training on all aspects of self-determination, self-direction, and the Participant Directed Program with the goal of expanding the program. * Guide and oversee the development of customized budgets to meet needs of individuals within existing service codes and waivers. * Provide monitoring and fiscal management of the total Greater Boston Area Participant Directed Program budget. * Represent the Greater Boston Area Office in meeting and work groups focused on Self Directed Services. _PLEASE NOTE:_* * _Schedule:_ Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm; Days off: Sunday/Saturday* * /Flexibility required to meet the needs of the Area Office./ Will require a driver's license as there will be traveling involved with this position. _About the Agency:_ The Department of Developmental Services is dedicated to creating, in partnership with others, innovative and genuine opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to participate fully and meaningfully in, and contribute to, their communities as valued members. _Benefits and Compensation:_ As an employee of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are offered a great career opportunity influencing a wide-spectrum of services to the diverse populations we serve - but it's more than a paycheck. Incumbents who elect to use a motor vehicle for travel must have a current and valid motor vehicle driver’s license at a class level specific to assignment. Substitutions: I. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for two (2) years of the required (A) experience. Based on assignment as Qualified Intellectual Disabled Professionals, within the Department of Developmental Services, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, counseling education, education of the physically or emotionally handicapped, education of the multiple handicapped, education of the learning disabled, human services, rehabilitation, rehabilitation counseling, nursing, recreation therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, music therapy, physical education or other a related field is required. Based on assignment as a Mental Health Case Manager or Forensic Transition Team Coordinator, within the Department of Mental Health, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, counseling education, education of the physically or emotionally handicapped, education of the multiple handicapped, education of the learning disabled, human services, rehabilitation counseling, education or other a related field is required.
