PDM – Recruit for the Two-Tier Indirect Channel / Business Application

Microsoft Business Leader: own the C-Suite and 360 business relationship, aligned to partner performance/growth and success and is the trusted business partner

Sales Leader: Demonstrates sales challenger mindset to define joint sales & GTM strategy with the partner, identify, assess, manage and accelerate success engagements that drive growth and performance through revenue, customer acquisition, consumption, usage at scale

Partnership Transformation Leader: Accelerates Partner & Solution transformation across Microsoft solution area and industry clouds to capture market opportunities and accelerates and transition to new commerce

Team Mobilizer and Cultural Leader: Lead a healthy cross-organizational team with growth mindset. Mobilizes people and resources, drives focus and mindshare to support business outcomes in both Microsoft and partner organizations.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planner : Prioritizes Recruit Targets by understanding SA strategies, leveraging GTM capacity models

Sales Leadership & Trusted Advisor : Engages with sales management leaders to build action plans and define tactics to achieve objectives on assigned solution area

Transformation & Cultural Leader:

Lead and live our sales culture transformation through the adoption of behaviors and habits that support our people, customers and partners.

Partner Experience : Maintain partner’s commitment, align expectations on Microsoft partnership and engagement, for long-term partner success or a Programmatic Engagement

KPI / Success factors :

  • Land agreed upon solution and sales plays and with partner and Create SMB solution Plan to maximize results through Breadth SMB market approach

  • Monthly inspection of KPI and agreed upon sales plays

  • Provide Sales coaching and review Surestep Ambassadors plans on recruit, enable and activation of reseller channel for your solution area

  • Accountable to build and execute performance plans towards Reseller (Reach) and Customer Acquisition (NCA) goals aligned to sales plays and solution area for Partners with Sales management

  • Land SMB programs aligned to solution area (STL) ECIF, POC

  • Provide visibility into high value strategic SMB customer opportunities, through BI

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry, especially the Indirect Provider (Distribution) channel.

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Operations or related field AND 4+ years partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Business Science, or an advanced degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) related field AND 7+ years partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry.

  • 5+ years sales experience direct or Indirect

The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $121,500 and $159,000.

At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
