Noble Supply & Logistics Inside Sales Representative in Boston, Massachusetts

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for monitoring various procurement channels and working with customers to achieve set revenue andmargin targets for assigned regions. This position is responsible for interacting with customers and fulfilling their requirements primarily through monitoring bid boards, answering incoming quote requests via phone and email, developing relationships with repeat customers, and maintaining an active sales pipeline. The Inside Sales Representative is expected to be professional and well educated on the products and solutions they are providing for our customers. This position requires working from our Boston MA office in person on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday is a remote day.

  • Processing new and existing customer accounts in Salesforce, NetSuite, and related systems to maintain sales pipelines for assigned areas of responsibility.

  • Processing assigned customer requests for quote, sales orders, purchase orders, and invoices received directly via phone, email, or assigned bid boards.

  • Answering customer questions and making recommendations about products, prices, availability, and product uses using various communication tools.

  • Assist in answering customer telephone inquiries.

  • Upon training monitoring and responding within open and closed bid board systems such as SAM.gov, GSA (e.g. Global Supply, EBUY, Unision), DLA (e.g. DIBBs, SOE-MRO, and FES) requests for quote, as specifically as assigned).

  • Soliciting and negotiating prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, delivery dates, and related order details from existing and new suppliers and OEMs.

  • Coordinating and negotiating shipping details along with terms with suppliers for orders procuring to federal and military locations.

  • Processing credit card payments for assigned order invoices.

  • Reviewing Contracts.

  • Consulting with customers after sales to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Managing assigned contracts or inventory item levels.

  • Maintaining efficiently moving quote, order, and invoice backlogs.

  • Must possess the ability to multi-task and use professional time management skills to complete all tasks on or before schedule.

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal across all business levels.

  • Solid understanding of assigned sales markets as well as company objectives and goals

  • Ability to build rapport and credibility with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.

  • Customer service focused with the ability to manage and work through challenging situations to resolve occasional order issues that are important to customers.

Education and experience

  • Minimum associate degree in business or related field, or federal or military procurement experience.

Computer Skills

  • MS Office Suite

  • Adobe Creative Suite

  • NetSuite and Salesforce or equivalent ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software a plus

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Also requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
