Intern, Service Supply Chain

The Service Supply Chain team is responsible for the forecast, planning, and distribution of service spare parts for Hologic's instrument install base. The team manages multiple product lines across several divisions within Global Services, and is focused on providing best-in-class service to Hologic's internal and external customers. The team is responsible for balancing and controlling inventory between our central supply warehouses, forward-stocking locations, and field trunk stock inventory. The team partners closely with field service to maintain optimal and accurate inventory levels that minimize instrument downtime.

Throughout the 10-12 weeks you'll have the opportunity to participate in the following:

• Learn about our current inventory placement and how that fits into our service delivery commitments

• Work with US service planners to standardize the end-of-life (EOL) process, including data management and reporting

• Review distribution spend, network alignment, and field inventory approach in the US

• Map RMA process across all divisions and identify gaps to improve turnaround time

• Finding freight and inventory reduction opportunities that deliver over $250k in freight savings and inventory reduction

• Work cross-functionally with service supply chain, finance, and field service partners

We're looking for bright, inquisitive problem solvers who strive to make a difference. Key qualifications include the following:

• Able to work full-time over the summer months (June - August/Sep)

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and have at least one semester remaining to complete after the internship

• Rising Junior, Rising Senior

• Majoring in Supply Chain Management preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience or exposure to working with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Ability to work onsite at our Marlborough, MA or San Diego, CA campus. Intern housing, relocation, and housing stipends are not provided.

The hourly pay range for this role is $19 - $25 per hour. Compensation is determined by class standing and operational function.
