Wayfair Internal Communications Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

<p><strong><em>This role reports into our Boston office Monday-Thursday (remote flexibility on Friday).</em></strong></p>

<p>Wayfair is seeking a strong communicator and natural storyteller to join its Internal Communications team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead internal communications efforts aimed at informing and engaging our global workforce. The role will involve working cross-functionally with key stakeholders across departments such as Talent, Commercial, Tech, Finance, DEI, Social Impact, and more. The position also includes the management and development of a direct report.</p>

<p>We are looking for an energetic and highly motivated communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, and is passionate about corporate storytelling. The ideal candidate is curious, self-driven, and has a strong desire to inform and engage a diverse employee base. The role reports into the Head of Corporate Communications and is based at the company’s headquarters in Boston.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Internal Communications Program Support: Lead the overall support of the internal communications program, ensuring alignment with company objectives and culture.</li>

<li>Editorial Calendar Management: Oversee and contribute to the internal editorial calendar, ensuring timely and effective communication.</li>

<li>Channel Ownership: Own and maintain key internal communication channels, including the company intranet, newsletters and&nbsp; emails.</li>

<li>All Company Meetings: Lead the development and execution of quarterly all company meetings.</li>

<li>Leadership Messaging: Collaborate with senior leaders to craft clear and impactful messaging for executive announcements, town halls, and other leadership communications.</li>

<li>Talent Communications: Partner with the Talent team to manage critical updates, including open enrollment, benefits, performance cycles, and employee surveys.</li>

<li>Engagement Initiatives: Design and implement initiatives that enhance employee morale, celebrate company achievements, and reinforce organizational values.</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>What You’ll Need:&nbsp;</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5+ years of&nbsp; experience in corporate communications; experience in HR/Talent communications a plus&nbsp;</li>

<li>Exceptional written and oral communication skills</li>

<li>Strong attention to detail; carefully and consistently proofs own work</li>

<li>Superior organizational skills and proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics</li>

<li>Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization</li>

<li>Critical thinker who is flexible and open to change and new information</li>

<li>The confidence and maturity to interact with senior leaders&nbsp;</li>

<li>Positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude</li>
