MENTOR Adult Day Health, a partner of The MENTOR Network, provides day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs. This allows seniors to obtain quality healthcare while remaining active and involved in the community and continuing to live in their own homes. Our programs are staffed with qualified, experienced licensed nurses and caregivers who are trained to provide individual assistance to each person we serve.
Mentor Adult Day Health is seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to provide day to day direction to kitchen staff, overseeing food preparation and distribution of meals to persons served; maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen; ensuring all quality assurance tasks are completed; ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as company policies. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Train staff on standard concepts, practices, and procedures for cooking and dietary food preparation.
Prepare all menu items using established policies and procedures.
Ensure presentation and preparation of all menu items adhere to established standards, prescribed diet plan, and are delivered at acceptable temperatures
Communicate any changes to the established menu.
Monitor and ensure special diets, meal plans, and portions are provided according to menu guidelines.
Develop and maintain adequate food/supplies, orders as required.
Ensure high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout the kitchen areas at all times
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years of experience in food service industry
ServSafe Certification required
Allergen Certification required
