Location: Carson, CA and Boston, MA

Shift/Work Hours:  The core hours of operation shall be from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM local time.

Job Description:

Lead engineering, design, integration, deployment, testing, certification, patching, addressing interoperability issues of Windows and Linux servers.

  Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a cross-functional team to manage web, application, and database-related components.

  • Implement, maintain, document, and test the backup & recovery strategies.

  • Initiate requests for server provisioning when additional servers are required for hosting databases.

  • Install, configure and upgrade database server software and related products.

  • Maintain and enforce naming standards for database objects such as table spaces, tables, indexes & views.

  • Maintain the integrity of the data in all databases. Monitor database performance and resolve performance issues.

  • Move, rebuild, or change database objects as required in supported environments.

  • Perform database maintenance functions.

  • Perform database migrations.

  • Perform database optimization.

  • Perform database health checks (which includes health reports as needed) and take corrective measures where appropriate.

  • Assist in resolving production database issues.

  • Upgrade/migrate databases to current release levels.

  • Work and resolve applicable Tier III incidents and problems, and work to resolve service requests annotating work and results in applicable ITSM/Help Desk tools.

    Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree – Six years field related experience may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IBM BigFix Action script action relevance, Powershell, Command Prompt (CMD), Disk Operating System (DOS), Unix Shell script command (SH) and many others to fit each Operating Systems include Windows, RHEL, MAC, etc.

  • Experience with Microsoft automated patching & software delivery tools (System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and HCL BigFix.

  • Must possess at least one of the below Certifications (IAT III)

  • CASP

    • CCNNP Security
  • CISA

  • CISSP (or Associate)

  • GCED

  • GCIH

  • CCSP

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • MCSA or MCSE Certification preferred

  • HDI-DAST Certification preferred
