Department Overview:

The Loan Review Senior Portfolio Examiner provides file work and fieldwork support and is responsible for oversight of an assigned business line portfolio oversight, including participation in examinations, risk analytics, credit metrics trending, and industry information through research, analysis, and related activities. This role contributes to projects/ initiatives as part of the overall team and is a significant individual contributor. This role may provide guidance to and receive support from junior team members, as necessary.

•\tCommercial credit professional with 5+ years of pertinent experience

•\tSolid background in Loan Review, commercial credit underwriting/analysis, credit risk management, commercial lending, and/or Regulatory examinations

•\tStrong knowledge of commercial lending and credit analysis

•\tExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Undergraduate degree or technical certificate and/or 7+ years relevant experience

Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions

Ability to analyze complex information and develop plans to address identified issues

Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, strong intuitive judgment and negotiation/influencing skills, flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, along with a strong consultative approach

Seasoned professional role requiring substantial knowledge / expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas

Integrates knowledge of the enterprise culture, business lines, and portfolios to create solutions across multiple functions or operations

Able to interpret internal/external business challenges, industry environment and how changes can impact portfolio performance

Solid communication skills that convey higher level summaries from detailed testing analysis, complex strategies, and cross functional processes

Able to facilitate group discussion, across multiple business units, that provides independent risk assessments, while allowing for a healthy debate forum

Acts as technical expert integrating cross-function understanding within field of specialty

Independently manages all work efforts, including loan file assessment for credit risks, applying analytical thought, and deep understanding of credit policies and processes

Monitors assigned portfolio, including assessing quarterly risk ratings, drivers behind those ratings (performance, industry, economic), identifying existing key risks and emerging risk

Provides assistance in Examinations or lead special projects, including defining scope, testing details, and timelines
