DataRobot is looking for an exceptional, data-driven Manager, Business Development, who thrives in a fast paced environment and finds joy in helping others succeed. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role by leading a team of Business Development Representatives who are on the front lines of pipeline generation in the fast paced AI space.

The Business Development team generates opportunities by sourcing leads and accounts, developing custom outreach, and working closely alongside our partners in marketing. We are a data science-driven organization, tracking high-quality historical data, inducing a metrics and monitoring process, analyzing data, and finally, collaborating with all other functions to develop a winning opportunity generation strategy. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and train a team of Business Development Reps.

  • Participate in the hiring and interviewing process, as well as ramp up for all new team members.

  • Build training materials to help ramp new hires, coach on topics such as objection handling and messaging, and ensure data quality across sfdc and other platforms.

  • Empower individuals and teams to exceed quotas and provide meaningful feedback to help each individual reach their greatest potential.

  • Develop and maintain processes to ensure scalability and repeatability of our different Lead Generation Programs.

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of coaching and management experience.

  • 3+ years of sales development experience in business-to-business SaaS.

  • Familiar with sales development KPIs.

  • Consistent past achievement of sales development targets and an ability to help coach others to do the same.

  • Track record of experienced, persistent, and effective inbound and outbound sales lead follow-up.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Must exhibit the commitment, attention to detail, time management, and organization needed to simultaneously handle multiple tasks/deadlines and thrive in a data-driven culture.

  • Experience managing remote teams across multiple departments and time zones.

  • Must be a self-starter, be comfortable with limited supervision, perform under pressure, and have solid problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of and experience in SaaS preferred, bonus points for machine learning/AI space.

  • Candidates with close proximity to our Boston office and willingness to work hybrid strongly preferred.
