The Role

At Last Mile Health (LMH), we work to deploy a health worker within reach of everyone, everywhere. Do you have progressive experience in fundraising with a proven track record of successful portfolio management towards accomplishing revenue goals? If so then you may be our next Manager, Partnership and Development.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Partnerships, the Manager, Partnerships and Development will manage a portion of the philanthropic portfolio (including both new and existing partners), contributing to the aim of securing revenue for LMH’s FY24-28 Closing the Distance Strategic Plan (https://lastmilehealth.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Last-Mile-Health-FY24-FY28-Strategy-Closing-the-Distance.pdf) . Specific financial targets for funding associated with this portfolio can vary depending on organizational annual budget, with a target of ensuring the majority of funding accrued is multi-year.

The Manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of the development, segmentation, and active management of this portfolio, working closely with the Senior Director of Partnerships and Senior Leadership as needed. They should be extremely comfortable engaging potential partners and can confidently articulate LMH’s value proposition to align with donor interests.

The Manager, Partnerships and Development will be autonomous in prospecting, vetting, preparing for engagement, and engaging with new partners. In addition, this role will develop recommendations for prioritization of funding prospects, as well as associated cultivation strategies. The Manager, Partnerships and Development will lead and project manage due diligence and concept note/proposal development across teams as required. This role, rooted in the pursuit of better healthcare access for vulnerable communities, offers a unique opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of many.

This role is open to candidates either based in Accra, Ghana or the Eastern Seaboard of the United States. This position is only open to candidates who do not require any paid sponsored or unsponsored work authorization in Ghana or the US. This role is fully remote in the US and hybrid in Ghana.

  • Improve and adhere to LMH Standard Operating Procedures for partner vetting, opportunity vetting, and proposal development to increase organizational understanding of roles to drive these processes and associated decision rights.

  • Provide lateral coaching to Partnerships and programmatic team members to set and execute donor engagement strategy to meet annual fundraising targets as aligned with LMH values.

    What You'll Bring

  • Progressive experience in fundraising with a proven track record of successful portfolio management towards accomplishing revenue goals.
