Citizens Bank Managing Director, M&A Advisory - Private Equity Coverage in Boston, Massachusetts
Citizens M&A Advisory, a division of Citizens Bank, is seeking an experienced M&A professional to join our Lower Middle Market Private Equity Coverage Team. Citizens Bank has acquired three M&A firms over the past 4 years and has built one of the nation’s fastest growing franchises in M&A. As part of our strategic plan we intend to build a team to cover sponsors with fund sizes of $300 million to $1.5 billion in an effort to increase revenue from the sponsor community with a focus on winning more sponsor-backed sell-side mandates.
The Director/Managing Director will be responsible for covering 30-50 sponsors with a goal of winning sell-side mandates with these target sponsors. We desire a professional who will be in front of target sponsors consistently, can build high quality relationships, has deal execution experience and can bring the expertise of our sector teams to bear as appropriate.
Roles and responsibilities include:
Consistently call on target sponsors in person and develop deep relationships with key decision makers
Develop solid knowledge of, and close relationships with, our sector execution bankers to partner with them in business development efforts.
Participate in industry events (e.g. ACG) and other similar networking opportunities to market the platform and brand
Help organize our annual conference to facilitate sponsor attendance
Required Skills/ Experience:
10+ years experience covering lower middle market sponsors
10+ years experience working on/leading middle-market M&A transactions
Strong experience with marketing and business development
Education, Certification and/or Other Professional Credentials:
Bachelors Degree required
Masters Degree/MBA preferred
Securities Licensing required
Hours and Work Schedule Hours per Week: 40+ Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
