Insight Global Mobile Engineer in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Maintenance HVAC Technician located 30 minutes from Boston, MA You will join a highly respected real estate company and will be a part of their facilities team. Main function of this role is to travel to multiple commercial facilities to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment on all systems. This individual must assure that equipment is being maintained in any energy efficient, safe manner, and down time is reduced to a minimum by anticipation of necessary repairs and keeping records of past operating experiences. You will be expected to perform inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including wars and flooring, installed fixture, roofing systems, lighting etc. You will be given a company van, work cell phone, uniform, and equipment as needed to perform job functions.

Administrative Tasks

 Submit P-card Receipts Daily

 Update work order status in real time

 Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.

 Perform Vehicle Safety Inspection

 Escalating problems or issues to Customer and Manager in a timely manner

 Attend work and safety meetings as required

 Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.

Physical Work Requirements:

 Lifting up to 80 lbs.

 Working from heights.

 Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.

 Working in adverse conditions (i.e., extreme cold,extremehot).

 Driving for long periods of time.

 Climbing a ladder with a 300 lb weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.

 Climbing a ladder up to 30 feet.

 Must be available for Call-in work and perform other duties as required.

Job Responsibilities:

 Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.

 Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds as it pertains to assigned buildings.

 Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.

 Respond effectively to all emergencies.

 Prepare and submit to management summary reports listing conditions found in the performance of assigned work and recommend and/or suggest action to be taken.

 Study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in everyday activities. This to include building automation systems, fire / life safety systems, and any other building related equipment.

 Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.

 Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.

 Must be willing and able to support any afterhours building related activity as required.

 Attend periodic training seminars.

 Other assigned operational tasks as may be typically expected of the Mobile Engineer role.

 Candidate will be provided tools required to perform assigned work scope.

Job Posting Required Compensation Information

THE BELOW INFORMATION MUST BE INCLUDED IN ALL JOB POSTINGS.

Compensation:

$40/hr to $44/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent

 Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in the technical aspects of HVAC/R. Includes experience with diagnosing and repairs of walk-in coolers, freezers, refrigerators.

 Basic experience with plumbing, electrical, production equipment repair and maintenance. Knowledge of overall system design and applications.

 Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

 Type II EPA Certification.

 License as required by authority having jurisdiction. EPA 608 Universal Certification

 Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC

 Knowledge of overall MEP/HVAC system design and application

 Experience managing work orders, utilizing CMMS technology

 Experience working in commercial facilities. null
