The Multimedia Communications Coordinator will report to the Director of Digital Communications & Strategy, and work closely with the Communications Director, Press Secretary, Deputy Press Secretaries, other Executive Staff, and AG Healey herself, to deliver information from the Office to the public. Primary Duties: The primary responsibilities of the Multimedia Communications Coordinator include: * Assists in video production, including concepting videos, filming, and editing; * Attends external events and set up audiovisual equipment to livestream, film, and provide adequate sound; * Works with AGO staff, partners, and constituents to highlight the work, services, and priorities of the AGO; * Takes photos at public events, edits photos, and manages a photo catalog; * Assists in managing social media accounts, including scheduling and monitoring content; * Helps maintain thewww.mass.gov/agowebsite, notably posting pre-drafted pages and editing content, as needed. The Multimedia Communications Coordinator is expected to be knowledgeable about current events and be able to draw connections between the work of the Attorney General’s Office and events across Massachusetts and the country. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a connection to the people and communities we serve, and an interest in supporting a respectful and inclusive work environment. Other qualifications include: * A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required; 1 – 2 years’ experience preferred. Entry level candidates are also welcome; * Strong skills in Adobe Premiere and video production required; * A passion for visual storytelling and video editing; * Experience with audiovisual equipment, including 4K camcorders, multi boxes/sound mixers, various microphones, livestreaming software, strongly preferred; * Proficiency in Adobe After Effects preferred; * Technologically proficient -- able to learn and use new software, troubleshoot errors, and manage production equipment, computer hardware, and other devices; * Social media-savvy and excited about exploring creative and fun ways to communicate with the public; * Strong attention to detail and well organized; * A valid driver’s license is preferred; * Must be able to lift 50 lbs. (such as a speaker) and help set up events at external locations.
