The first step in almost every Smart Factory transformation is the Smart Factory Capability Diagnostic. This initial engagement lays the foundation for a multi-year improvement program by assessing the current state of a manufacturing operation to create a value-based and prioritized improvement roadmap.
The Smart Factory Capability Diagnostic team is responsible for:
Creating and continually evolving Deloitte's Smart Factory Capability Diagnostic product.
Scaling the product as an asset to be sold and deployed by international member firms.
Marketing the Smart Factory Capability Diagnostic for domestic and international deployment.
Creating scalable commercial proposals and delivery models.
Ensuring that the Smart Factory Capability Diagnostic is consistently deployed to a high-standard.

As a Sales Engineer, you have a vital leadership role that connects the needs of our clients with the capabilities of Deloitte's Product Development, Marketing, and Account teams to create a globally scalable product.
Act as a critical contributor within the product design and product marketing process.
Lead/participate in discovery sessions to translate client needs into feature requests for the product development team.
Track the pipeline of Smart Factory Capability Diagnostic opportunities and report to global and Smart Factory leadership.
Work with Smart Factory leaders to translate client needs into product features.
Assist the Deloitte Marketing team to create go-to-market messaging.
Create and curate a standardized go-to-market proposal deck to enable rapid product scaling.
Help create and execute the strategy to launch and grow a product for international distribution.
Sell the benefits of the Smart Factory Capability Diagnostic to global stakeholders at all levels, supporting requests from and knowledge transfers to other member firms who want to use the tool.
Sell the Smart Factory Capability Diagnostic to clients through formal presentations and product demonstrations.
Leverage your knowledge of manufacturing operations to ensure the Smart Factory Capability Diagnostic is the best-practice tool for assessing the transformation roadmap for any manufacturing operation.
Help define and shape impactful experiences at The Smart Factory @ Wichita experience center (e.g., Smart Factory Assessment playback, use case prioritization and roadmap development).
Seamlessly integrate the Smart Factory Capability Diagnostic into the Smart Factory Assessment Methodology, strengthening its position as a differentiator and accelerator for Deloitte.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or equivalent field; MBA a plus
3+ Years in a Sales Engineering, Technical Sales, or Product Owner role
3+ Years of professional experience in manufacturing operations, ideally in a continuous improvement or consulting role
Experience working remotely and collaborating with offshore teams
Previous experience in long sales cycles, managing relationships and closing deals successfully
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Highly self-motivated, passionate team-oriented individual
Expert oral, written, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal communication skills
Technical and functional proficiency with Tableau
Proficiency with MS Office Suite including PowerPoint and Excel
Ability to work with complex business requirements and translate them into the design of solutions, including multi product demos, user story creation, business rules, etc.
This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top end of the range, but such a decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $103,000 to $210,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
