Boston University ONBASE PROGRAMMER ANALYST II, Information Services & Technology, Document Imaging and Management in BOSTON, Massachusetts
Boston University is looking for a OnBase Programmer Analyst to develop configurations & workflows for electronic document solutions. This is a fully remote position with the option to work on the Boston University Charles River campus as desired and occassionally attend specially scheduled in-person events. The OnBase Programmer Analyst (IC2) analyzes, implements OnBase configurations according to design provided by senior team members, supports applications and interfaces, and sustains services for university needs - academic, administrative and ancillary. Work will include writing and executing test plans and developing test data and providing client support for document and image management applications and workflows configured in vendor software. This position works constructively as part of a team which provides efficient service management processes including service request fulfillment, incident response, and business cycle sustainment and continuity. They deliver programs and services that meet requirements in a timely manner and provide regular reporting of hours, issues and risks to functional and project management. The Programmer Analyst II participates in quality assurance testing and maintains documentation.
Required Skills
B.A./B.S. required or equivalent work experience.
Three to five years of work experience in a collaborative professional environment.
One to three years of technology-related support work experience; experience with electronic document management systems appreciated.
Comfort and experience using Microsoft suite tools.
No prior experience with OnBase is required; prior experience would be advantageous.
Successful candidate will be sent to OnBase System Administrator certification training.
Demonstrated capacity for flexibility, imagination, and creative problem-solving skills; ability to approach problems with empathy, patience, and a sense of humor.
Applying detail-oriented skills to research issues, resolve problems, and document resolution steps are critical to success in this position.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently to perform routine daily work and handle tickets as well as a prioritized flow of project related work required for this position.
Be an enthusiastic learner able to absorb information from in person and online training, videos, and written documentation and rapidly assimilate it.
Desire and ability to work with a collaborative team and evolving requirements and solutions will be key to job satisfaction in this position.
Experience with writing & maintaining instructional and operational documentation strongly desired.
Experience working in an ITIL environment is desirable. A successful candidate will receive ITIL training and opportunities to certify.
Experience with ServiceNow is desirable but not required. A successful candidate will receive training on ServiceNow as part of their job.

This position does not require previous OnBase experience. A successful candidate should anticipate robust training requirements within the first six months of hire and ongoing opportunities to acquire additional technical OnBase skills on an ongoing basis.
