The position will partner with the Wholesale and Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) groups' Chief Compliance Offices (GCCO), on building and implementing an enterprise, multi-year foundational program focused on Securities Aggregation (equities and fixed income). The role will require superior skills in business analysis, business process design, change management, and quality assurance.
Required Skill Set
The successful candidate will demonstrate core competencies and business acumen in Asset Management, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, and Risk Management. Leadership, business analysis, change management, and process improvement skills are required. This is a role to aid and enable the Wholesale and WIM GCCO leadership to develop and implement enhanced enterprise capability. The candidate must be a hands-on person that will engage in the details of the implementation. The successful candidate will support the Wholesale, WIM and Compliance business sponsors in helping to translate complex Compliance regulations into business requirements, process maps and detailed business analysis.
The Operational Risk Consultant will be responsible for:
Provide leadership and business analysis support for Securities Aggregation initiatives including (but not limited to) business requirements, operational process improvement, change management, and testing/quality assurance.
Responsible for creating and updating project artifacts including (but not limited to): business requirements document (BRD), functional requirements document (FRD), process/work flows, data/information flows/maps, use cases, test cases, and desktop procedures.
Actively plan and facilitate meetings to drive gathering and documenting business/regulatory requirements with stakeholders and virtual team. This includes willingness to arrange meetings, keep meeting minutes, and track detailed follow-up action items.
Identify, negotiate and recommend solutions aligned with business strategic priorities. Demonstrated ability to draft documentation and utilize resources/research to assist in development of project artifacts and supporting materials.
Facilitate the gathering and documentation of business requirements and the translation of those requirements to the technology and data management solutions teams.
Build relationships with and work with team members across the Enterprise to understand complex regulations and focus on bringing issues to resolution, escalating as necessary to meet timelines.
Create and assist in delivery of presentations to senior management and stakeholders on functional/operational design and requirements/process artifacts.
Partner with Technology partners on data analysis, functional requirements and high level design.
4+ years in Security Aggregation/Asset Management/Capital Markets/Regulatory Reporting experience or a related discipline.
2+ years of experience with the following (but not limited to) regulations that require securities aggregation for compliance or reporting purposes: Securities Act, Securities and Exchange Act, Investment Company Act, Investment Advisor Act, Bank Holding Company Act, and UK Takeover Panel.
2+ years of Wholesale Banking and Wealth and Investment Management or similar experience.
8+ years of business analysis for change initiatives with at least 5 years within the Financial Services Industry.
4+ years of Compliance, Operational Risk or audit.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (including MS Project and Visio).
Proficiency with SharePoint.
Ability to interact and communicate with senior leaders and business partners across the Wholesale business.
Experience in leading and influencing virtual teams;
Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) - Agile and Waterfall;
- 4 year college degree.
