Robert Half's marketing & creative client is looking for a part-time PR Specialist for a 6+ month contract in the Greater Boston area. This is a remote, 20-hour-per-week opportunity; interested candidates should be available for meetings during eastern (ET) time zone working hours. The PR Specialist will support a new initiative within the manufacturing/energy business sector and will collaborate on media interactions, strategies, press inquires, relationships, press releases, and media campaigns within the US.

• Creating engaging content

• Driving media outreach

• Monitoring media coverage

• Coordinating event PR support

• Providing strategic counsel on industry trends

Requirements

• Degree in communications, media, or related

• 3+ years of public relations experience

• Knowledge of energy, manufacturing, and/or technology industries

• Prior agency experience a plus

• Experience driving media strategy and planning

• Network of industry, business, and technology media contacts

• Self-starter

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Familiarity with PR tools

• Strong project management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Portfolio of writing samples

• Comfortability communicating across multiple levels of stakeholders
