POSITION SUMMARY:

The Alliances & Partnership team is responsible for managing a significant portfolio of 3rd party providers within the Digital Banking business. The overall portfolio of 3rd party vendor solutions generates approximately $240m (over 40%) of Digital Banking annual revenue and contributes to approx. $100m of annual costs.

The Partner Director has responsibility for a group of partners from inception through run and end of life where appropriate.

The role is responsible for the strategic and operational management of those partners and their contribution to the overall success of Digital Banking product and revenue goals.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Partner Director role is instrumental to the success of the Digital Banking solutions and supporting revenue targets for the business.

This is a dynamic role switching daily between driving strategic objectives with partners to drive operational excellence with partners in the resolution of commercial or operational issues.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Manage a portfolio of 3rd party suppliers on behalf of Digital Banking in line with objectives focused on

  • Business performance of the 3rd party offering

  • P&L of 3rd party agreement

  • Cost management

  • Delivery to service level agreements

  • Drive sustainable revenue growth within the Digital Banking business through the 3rd party partner offerings.

  • Oversee contract negotiations on behalf of the Digital Banking business with existing partners driving favorable business terms for NCR while delivering compelling offerings for Digital Banking customers.

  • Partner with Product Management to ensure that new and existing 3rd parties are aligned to the product management strategy and commercial objectives.

  • Provide cross-functional leadership in support of realization of 3rd party business case outcomes.

  • Identify and develop business cases for new or enhanced 3rd party relationships ensuring all costs and opportunities are identified for Digital Banking business.

  • Monitor the external market and existing 3rd party providers position within their market segment to ensure that Digital Banking remains partnered with the leading providers in the market.

  • Own revenue, gross margin, and contribution margin targets within your portfolio of partners and key performance metrics for 3rd party solutions ensuring that 3rd party providers are making a positive contribution to Digital Banking revenue.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of related experience in Financial Services with significant experience in commercial software solution negotiations from buy or sell side.

  • Experience in managing 3rd party suppliers in the delivery of successful outcomes.

  • A motivational leader who inspires confidence from both clients and colleagues

  • Strong cross functional leadership and people skills required to motivate and direct a team of independent contributors from various functions including Product Management, Product Marketing, Legal, Sales and Partner organizations.

  • Strong communication and influencing skills along with a sound commercial awareness and an understanding of key business drivers

  • High energy level, good organization and multi-tasking skills necessary to achieve constantly changing mix of short, medium and long-term objectives. Must be able to handle frequent interruptions in schedule to respond to ad hoc sales queries, new customer opportunities and escalation of customer issues.

  • Confidence, presentation and negotiation skills needed to interact effectively with partners in both negotiation and problem-resolution scenarios.

  • Natural curiosity and self-motivation to learn and keep current on trends in Digital Banking, Digital Payments and associated ecosystem areas that impact cost drivers, user experience and performance.
