The MHS Consultant will be responsible for supporting engagements in DoD. Our healthcare data analytics consultants help clients maximize the value of their data and automate business processes. This high performing team works with clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data science, from data querying and data wrangling, to data visualization and dashboarding, to predictive analytics, and machine learning. Our services enable our clients to define their information strategy, enable mission critical insights and data-driven decision making, reduce cost and complexity, increase trust, and improve operational effectiveness.
Our consultants focus on client services, while also supporting business development, internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development.
· End-to-end dev elopment of PowerBI dashboards
· Update and maintain existing PowerBI dashboards
· Develop Python code for data wrangling
· Present reports/dashboards to senior leadership to drive strategic priorities
· Conduct data quality analysis; reconcile and present data discrepancies to stakeholders
· Perform quality check and review the outputs against quality standards and continually look for performance improvements
· Work with executives and other business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement.
· Providing technical expertise in PowerBI and dashboarding
· Training end-users on new reports and dashboards.
· Maintain/update dozens of Excel workbooks using multiple macros
· Develop design and methodology documents for analytical solutions
Bachelors degree in B.S./B.A. in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, Data Science, Data Analytics, or similar quantitative discipline.
Must be U.S. citizen and be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Minimum of two years of experience developing with PowerBI
Speaking to PowerBI current capabilities and responding to design feasibility questions, quickly turning out proof of concepts where custom work is needed
Designing visualizations as per business requirements and knowledge on User interface and User experience
Providing technical input and effective data analysis to support the requirements and development.
Experience analyzing large and complex data sets, with strong aptitude for conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis
Basic proficiency in Python
Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning and transforming technique
Knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office Products and related applications
Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks.
Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical and technical document s
Demonstrates abilities and success with identifying and addressing client needs: actively participating in client discussions and meetings; communicating a broad range of firm services; preparing concise, accurate documents
Must be organized, self-motivated and able to multitask in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
Demonstrated ability to excel both independently and as a team member in a lively, collaborative environment
Possess an acute awareness of organizational cultures and political savvy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present to executive leadership
Ability to managing deadlines and recurring deliverables
M.S./M.A. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Data Science, Data Analytics, or similar discipline.
Experience with the DoD; Military Health System
Experience with DoD budget or financial data
Understanding and experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, map gateways & administrate Power BI Service, permissions, workspaces. Experienced in embedded Power BI
Understanding of Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, ETL concepts and proactively contribute for the overall design
Knowledge of the healthcare sector, including such domains as public health, provider, and life sciences.
