Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

Principal Oracle APEX Developer

*Can be located anywhere in the US*

Oracle’s Healthcare Group is looking for an Oracle APEX developer to join a growing team supporting the Pandemic Response Systems organization. We want to bring order to chaos and develop world class software that provides a far superior user experience, and we're doing this at every step of the way. We're looking for someone that can complement our development team and expand our capacity to deliver.

You should feel comfortable with full-cycle design and standards-based development within an Oracle APEX context, and have tactical knowledge of data modeling, PL/SQL, JavaScript, and general web development technologies.

Minimum qualifications include the following:

  • 10+ years of application development experience

  • 5+ years of Oracle APEX experience is required

  • Experience working with most of the following -

  • Oracle database

  • Data modeling

  • PL/SQL

  • HTML/CSS

  • Web development

  • JavaScript

  • JSON/RESTful web services

  • Version control (Git preferred, but not required)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with individuals across the organization

  • Experience working with Agile development frameworks
