As part of Microsoft’s Security, Compliance, Identity, and Management organization, and a steward of Microsoft and our customer’s data, a core function of Microsoft DSR is ensuring the security of every aspect of the business. Microsoft DSR is responsible for company-wide information security and compliance, with a strategic focus on information protection, assessment, awareness, governance, and enterprise business continuity. As customer zero, we deploy and secure these services inside Microsoft and then share best practices with enterprise customers at scale across the globe. We are looking for a high caliber, leadership driven, and passionate security PM to be the connective tissue between our security goals as a company and the work in the C+AI engineering team. This dedicated and unstoppable program manager will be a part of the driving force that helps this large cloud services group to prioritize and apply learnings from MSFT Corp as it’s “first and best” customer. The focus is on collaborating and connecting these teams to ensure our security “high bar” and creating a workplace environment that is living our core security principles with a “best in class” structure of values.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with security teams across Cloud + AI to ensure teams are equipped to put “first things first” when working toward meeting Microsoft’s security “high bar”

  • Work with C&AI security drivers to surface alignment issues or course corrections, and work through them

  • Collaborate with team in building models and methods that surface insights to engineering teams and Microsoft senior leadership clearly and concisely.

  • Drive impact and change through dovetailing into existing workflows and enterprise customer programs

  • Develop “best-in-class” structure and Rhythm of Business for the team to succeed, ensuring the goals short and long term are well-defined and realistic.

  • Gain a working understanding of Microsoft businesses and collaborate with mentors and leaders to contribute to cohesive, end-to-end experiences for our users.

  • Stay educated on existing, emerging technologies and do POCs to evaluatetechnologyfits forcustomer needs.



  • 10+ years of experience in a technical security-related field

  • 5+ years of program management in a technology role


  • 5+ years of cloud cybersecurity experience

  • Demonstrated success leading an information security engineering or operations for a large enterprise.

  • Working understanding operating in an Agile team

  • Experience with direct, remote and virtual teams

  • Relevant experience in software design and coding.

  • Drive for complete results that reflect the goal

  • Translate problem solving techniques into measurable functional design

  • Excellent judgment, decision making skills, and ability to work with deadlines

  • Excellent presentation skills and experience presenting to senior leadership teams

  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming/script languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell
