Oracle Principal Sales Consultant in Boston, Massachusetts
We are looking for experienced Principal-level pre-sales SaaS Solution Engineers with proven success in messaging, positioning with value, and demonstrating solutions across Projects, Supply Chain, and Financial functions within the Engineering & Construction industry.
As an acknowledged authority within Oracle, this Principal Solution Engineer (SE) has a breadth of knowledge and understanding of solutions, Engineering & Construction industry leading practices, connected business processes, and impact on business value. The SE collaborates with our SaaS Sales team to design innovative, modern, value-driven presentations and demonstrations that compel our customers and prospects to take action.

Understand, identify, and document client requirements, conduct business and technical studies.
Provide pre-sales technical and functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Develop and deliver high-quality, effective Oracle presentations and demonstrations.
Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction, and overall Oracle solutions.
Support sales team in online and in-person selling efforts with minimal supervision.
Lead deal team individual contributors and be a great team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
Work is non-routine and complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in the area of specialization.
5+ years SaaS solution provider experience in a selling/marketing capacity (pre-sales preferred)
10+ years business experience with relevant application solutions (e.g., solutions such as Oracle Cloud for Projects, ERP, Supply Chain Mgmt, etc.)
Thorough knowledge of system and application design
Knowledge of competitors
Demonstrated project management and leadership skills – able to manage deal pursuit teams, complex cycles.
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning/messaging, business value and justification, compelling/closing techniques.
Ability to effectively persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication.
Travel as needed, approx. 40%
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Accounting/Finance or similar degree or advanced degree desirable. Industry certifications (e.g., PMI, etc.) desirable.
Certain US customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization and occupational health mandates.

US: Hiring Range: from $51.25 to $85.67 per hour; from $106,600 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 65/35 - 80/20.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
