Sungage Financial Product Designer in Boston, Massachusetts

Sungage Financial has revolutionized residential solar by offering customer friendly products and the lowest monthly payments possible in the solar financing industry. Our dedicated Product and Technology team is responsible for developing and continuously improving the tools our customers and internal teams use to operate every part of our business. We’re looking for a talented Product Designer to help us to level up our digital financing platform and bring elegance and consistency to our entire technology ecosystem. In this role, the Product Designer will be a key player in our development process and fully integrated across all of our Product pods.   Responsibilities

 

  • Work on a mix of UI, UX, and visual design. You’ll use design tools like Figma to create flexible design systems and craft thoughtful wireframes, user flows and prototypes at various fidelity levels

  • Contribute throughout the design process. You will take an active, or even leadership, role in product research. This could take the form of customer or stakeholder interviews, design research, or usability testing 

  • Drive the creation and application of a common design language used by all Sungage products, both internal and customer-facing 

  • Maintain attention to detail across project deliverables and ensure quality and consistency

  • Deeply understand our clients and their customers. You’ll partner with our internal teams  to become an expert on the challenges our customers face and how they conduct business

  • Design for multiple personas. Sungage makes products for Lenders, Installers, Homeowners, and our own internal teams, all of which have different needs and user patterns

  • Provide and seek feedback from stakeholders across the company

  • Collaborate to build solutions. You’ll work across product, business and technology stakeholders to ensure that project expectations, parameters, requirements and processes are mutually understood and respected

    Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product design or UX for software.

  • Experience designing across multiple platforms, and working with technical/product teams to create user flows, wireframes, and building user interface mockups and prototypes

  • Industry experience designing complex responsive web experiences and applications (desktop and mobile) from inception to completion across the entire design process, including research, prototyping, usability testing and developer hand-offs. Academic-only experience is not suitable for this role. We’re looking for someone who has some hard-won experience designing in a professional setting
