Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Data Analyst to join our team in a hybrid work environment. In this role, you will be responsible for consuming and cleansing customer product data, utilizing Microsoft Excel for analysis, and running the data through our cross-referencing tools. You will conduct additional research to identify suitable alternatives that our system may not have captured. Your insights will play a crucial role in understanding customer needs and enhancing their experience with our medical products. This work directly supports our company’s initiative to grow our self-manufactured product mix, ensuring that we meet customer demands with our innovative offerings.

Responsibilities

Data Consumption and Cleansing:

  • Import and organize complex customer product data from various sources.

  • Use Microsoft Excel formulas, or other data tools, to cleanse and structure data for accurate analysis.

Cross-Referencing and Research:

  • Process cleansed data through cross-referencing tools to identify suitable alternatives to current customer purchases.

  • Build alternative logic in cross reference solution and complete analytical analysis of output

  • Conduct research post-cross-reference tool run to uncover additional product alternatives not identified by the system.

Data Analysis:

  • Analyze product data to understand nuances and implications for customer needs.

  • Communicate summaries highlighting key findings and insights from analysis work.

Creative Problem-Solving:

  • Bring forward-thinking and innovative solutions to data-related challenges.

  • Collaborate with team members to address problems and enhance processes.

Customer-centric focus:

  • Clearly articulate actionable insights and calls to action based on data analysis.

  • Channel customer perspectives to ensure recommendations are customer-centric and align with their needs.

  • Collaborate with sales reps to ensure they understand the data outputs and can effectively relay information to customers.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on best practices for data cleansing and analysis.

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the data analysis team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization.

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a high level of data savviness.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills exemplifying a customer-centric focus

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Basic understanding of medical products and a willingness to learn are a plus

Anticipated salary range: $67,500 - $96,400

** The salary range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
