Join the Product Operations team in Tableau Dev and prepare Tableau for our best years yet. We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with expert experience using Tableau to lead the design and development of interactive reports, dashboards, and data sources that are in direct support of our product development team’s operations and workflow tracking. Work with multiple stakeholders in Tableau to identify the needed endpoints, models, and pipelines, and determine the requirements needed for success. Bring an informed and opinionated voice to the table and work with the Planning Tools team to develop a roadmap for the dashboards we provide internally, and looking ahead to how we may be able to share these with customers as well.
What you’ll be doing:
Use Tableau to build and publish customized interactive reports, data visualizations, and executive level dashboards that are in support our development team operations, such as reports visualizing data across our software development lifecycle, release health, strategic traceability (V2MOMs), and feature dependencies.
Take ownership and enhance existing tableau visualizations that our business is dependent on, such as roadmapping and agile metrics dashboards.
Analyze and integrate complex data coming in from multiple disparate sources; Use SQL to create published data sources that enable you, your stakeholders, and internal customers to retrieve key data/metrics/reports.
Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions, interface with leadership, and gather requirements to deliver complete data analysis and visualization reporting solutions. Take ownership in defining a long term data strategy for our organization.
Work closely and build relationships with data engineers in other teams in Tableau to communicate requirements and drive dependency completion.
Validate telemetry analysis with internal customers and power users
Draw insight from data and have the ability to visually present and communicate data, analyses, and findings orally and in writing.
Troubleshoot data issues with Tableau reports and dashboards.
Contribute to expanding the Tableau data science culture by sharing knowledge and investing in tools and processes for the betterment of others.
What you’ll bring to the team:
Strong data analysis experience with Tableau Desktop
Strong data management experience with Tableau Server
Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries with joins and aggregate that deals with large amounts of data. Strong understanding of recursive joins of data.
Strong experience working with databases/data warehouses, preferably Snowflake
Ideally have prior experience integrating and visualizing data from 3rd party APIs and work platforms like TFS (Azure DevOps Server), Aha!, GITLAB, JIRA, GUS, Perforce
Familiar with Agile and Lean Methodologies, as well as SDLC processes
Expert in building relationships and collaborating across different functions.
Focused on impact and biased toward action.
