Meta Production Designer - Iconography, Visual Systems in Boston, Massachusetts
Summary:
You will be responsible for technical output and file management for all iconographic assets in the Facebook app. As an experienced Designer, you are comfortable providing creative solutions within the constraints of the guidelines set in place. You should be comfortable working across many digital platforms with multiple teams, and always be curious and eager to experiment.
Required Skills:
Production Designer - Iconography, Visual Systems Responsibilities:
Management of all assets in our Tasks and Dropbox folder structure
Setting the standard for asset quality at Facebook via pixel-perfect execution for every visual deliverable
Familiarizing yourself with the current style and state of the iconography system and its role in the Facebook App ecosystem
Effectively communicating with requesting our internal team, as well as product teams
executing all iconographic requests on a day-to-day basis in an expedient manner
Actively look for opportunities to improve individual assets or processes
Flagging blockers, escalating when necessary and openly communicating with the team
Flexibly jumping into larger team initiatives, while managing expectations of your own (and partner) teams
Work with a team of Production Designers to process assets with quality and efficiency
Create, revise, and maintain files (PSD, Ai, Sketch, Figma)
Provide detailed specs for creatives to work against
Create, organize, and assign tasks
Works with Engineers to ensure assets are Implemented correctly
Provide help/guidance in relevant internal feedback groups
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of working experience as a Production Designer or similar role
Demonstrated experience or knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
Expert knowledge in pixel accuracy when working with vector files
Familiarity with After Effects & Figma
Mastery in high volume batch processing. Utilizing Scripts, Creating Actions, Smart Objects, and Figma components
Familiarity with iOS, Android and WWW design
Experience designing and developing pipelines, including folders structures, naming conventions, and asset deliveries
Proven detail-oriented and organized with thorough quality control
Proven closely follows directions and experience working within established department guidelines
Proven proactive and mitigates risk in future projects by thinking ahead
