Salesforce Professional Services is looking for a Program Architect. If you're passionate about innovation, come help redefine how companies collaborate and connect with customers. The Program Architect plays a meaningful role in helping our Education and Nonprofit customers to accelerate their use of Salesforce technology by advising on industry best practices, driving customer visioning and alignment, and architecting solutions for short and long-term customer success on the Salesforce platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Become a highly certified and recognized Salesforce platform expert

  • Be a trusted advisor engaging with C-Level executives on defining IT roadmap to deliver on their business vision

  • Provide guidance on building industry solutions on the Salesforce platform for both Nonprofit and Education customers.

  • Lead the evaluation of business and technical requirements; review and guide project vision and direction, implementation approach and key artifacts; direct early solution evaluation around gaps/risks, including the pro-active management of issues and effective engagement with executives, the Account Team, Engineering, and Product Management

  • Guide customers to innovate and accelerate their growth by demonstrating the right tools and features provided by the Salesforce Ecosystem.

  • Provide architecture to scale, including integration, migration strategy, and large data volumes.

  • Provide architecture oversight, governance and ensure alignment to industry best practices.

  • Contribute to the creation and sharing of customer success stories to be published and shared with the Salesforce.org community

  • Contribute to the growth of the Professional Services team by identifying and leading internal initiatives to grow and scale the consulting practice, demonstrating less senior teammates to achieve individual as well as team growth; serving as an active contributor to the practice knowledge and resource base; mentor, educate, and enrich technical and non-technical Salesforce.org , customer and partner colleagues.

Experience/Skills Required:

  • 6+ years of enterprise consulting experience, including implementation experience with one or more common enterprise software solutions including Salesforce and other platforms

  • Extensive hands-on technical consulting and solution implementation experience, including with one or more common enterprise software solutions (e.g. CRM, ERP), demonstrating positions of increasing responsibility and management/mentoring of more junior technical resources; experience with Waterfall and/or Agile implementation methodologies

  • Demonstrable ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration, including leadership in guiding customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technology for business use cases

  • A thorough understanding of web services, data modeling, and enterprise application integration concepts, including experience with enterprise integration tools (ESBs and/or ETL tools), and common integration design patterns with enterprise systems (e.g. CMS, ERP, HRIS, DWH/DM)

  • Salesforce Certified:

  • Administrator

  • Platform App Builder

  • Experience with key areas of enterprise architecture, including but not limited to, integration technologies, large-volume data, single sign-on, and master data management.

  • Experience guiding customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying new technologies that drive increased business value.

  • Polished and effective communicator with the ability to evangelize best practices at various levels within a large organization.

  • Strong executive presentation skills to drive organizational alignment and buy-in.

  • Ability to travel to customer sites ( 30%)

Experience/Skills Desired:

  • Salesforce Certified

  • On track or already achieved Application and System Architect

  • Advanced Administrator

  • Experience Cloud

  • Other industry-recognized enterprise architecture certifications (E.g. TOGAF)

  • Experience with nonprofit and higher education organizations.
