State of Massachusetts Program Coordinator I in Boston, Massachusetts

The Division of Banks is currently accepting applications for the Program Coordinator I position in the Non-Depository Institution Supervision Licensing Unit. This role will coordinate and monitor assigned licensing activities; review and analyze data concerning agency licensing programs; provide technical assistance on licensing functions; and respond to inquiries. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Non-Depository Examinations and Operations Units on accounts receivables, accounts payables, and other administrative responsibilities. Work/Life Balance: * * *Hybrid Position:Coordinators have the opportunity to work hybrid schedules from home but also are periodically required to be on site at one of our four regional offices (Boston, Lakeville, Woburn, or Springfield). * Flexible Schedule: *Coordinators have various options for start and end times of their daily schedules. *_The position is a union position in the National Association of Government Employees (NAGE) Unit 6 and the salary is within Grade 10. Salary (step) placement is based on relevant experience._ Primary Duties: * Coordinates and monitors assigned licensing program activities to ensure effective operations and compliance with established standards including: the licensing unit’s worklist, processing application approvals, managing the renewal assignments, processing bond claims, examination and ATM assessment invoicing, Annual Report notifications and billing, and Public Records Requests. * Reviews and analyzes data concerning assigned licensing programs to determine progress and effectiveness, to make recommendations for changes in procedures, guidelines, etc. and to devise methods of accomplishing program objectives. * Provides technical assistance and advice to agency personnel and others concerning assigned to exchange information, resolve problems and to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures and standards. * Responds to inquiries from agency Examination or Operations staff in order to provide information concerning assigned agency programs. * Maintains liaison with the Accounting shared services staff and Operations management in order to exchange information and/or to resolve problems. * Performs related duties such as attending meetings and trainings; maintaining records; and preparing reports. The filling of this position is subject to appropriation and obtainment of all necessary approvals from the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation and the Executive Office for Administration and Finance. The Division reserves the right not to fill this position without notice. This position will report directly to a Regional Field Manager within the examination unit. MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below. Substitutions: I. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.* II.
