The Project Controls Intern/Co-Op will work as part of a team serving clients in the New England area offering real-world experience on exciting projects. *Perform assignments under the direct supervision of Project Controls professionals or Project Controls Manager *Work with the scheduling team to assist in the development and update of project schedules, review of construction schedules, and take part in forensic analysis of construction claims *Help develop a graphical representation of project plans *Help prepare presentations and reports *Work with estimating team to assist in quantity takeoff from engineering plans, update the cost estimating database, participate in the review of construction change orders and preparation of bottoms-up cost estimates *Obtain updated pricing for construction labor, materials, and equipment *Track project files and store in web-based project document controls system and company's server *Assist with construction administration support tasks such as attending meetings to take meeting minutes, update tracking logs, check and report on progress status *Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications 3.0 GPA or higher preferred 2+ years completed toward degree Students with at least one prior internship in the transportation industry preferred Consideration only given to local candidates Minimum three-month commitment and working at HDR Boston office

Required Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program Attention to detail Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills Basic Microsoft Office skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
