The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Resurgence program is the first career reentry program in the Federal Reserve Banking System. It was established in recognition of the strengths and attributes of the pool of mid-career professionals returning from extended leave or “career breaks” taken for a minimum of two years for a range of reasons. The program is a paid 16-week program where you will be working in an actual role on a team with supportive teammate mentor/buddies, a manager who has been trained to manage relaunchers and a series of trainings and professional development events to build confidence, create camaraderie and enable you to do your best work. Subject to performance and feedback throughout the program, qualified candidates may be offered full-time employment at the Boston Fed if there is an applicable position
Provides expertise and direction on small to large-scale complex projects. Offers varying levels of project management oversight and directly influences activities on business-critical projects from the conceptual phase through solution implementation and project close. Serves as a single point-of-contact for and interfaces with all areas affected by projects. Uses industry-standard best practices in order to assure delivery of project goals, objectives, milestones and deliverables, as well as compliance with all project management processes. May direct work of matrixed teams.
Directs and coordinates complex projects from conceptual phase through implementation, and completion. Works with clients and other resources to define the high-level needs and establish requirements.
Develops and maintains the detailed project plans that clearly define the requirements, identify resource needs, establish clear and achievable objectives, balances competing demands to ensure project is completed on time, and is within the approved budget.
Collaborate with clients and other resources to identify risk/issues, recommend process improvement and corrective action plans to meet customer requirements.
Monitors and evaluates progress and performance against the project plan and coordinates methods to resolve issues and minimize delays.
Generates timely and appropriate communications to clients and resources regarding the status of project by preparing detailed status report and coordinating presentations.
Ensures that projects comply with the Program and Project Management PPM standard which defines the required actions and controls to plan and deliver successful Federal Reserve technical projects.

Knowledge and Experience:
The candidate must live within commutable distance of the Boston Fed.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 3 to 5+ years of relevant work experience.
Experience with recognized industry techniques and methodologies for project management (SDLC and Agile)
Experience with project management tools (such as Clarity PPM) is a plus
PMP certification preferred.
Knowledge: Progressive knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in functional area. General knowledge of department/business lines, Reserve Banks, and / or System operations, policies, procedures and technologies.
Communications: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience.
Risk Management: The individual is responsible for understanding and applying risk management discipline in decision making and contributing to his or her function’s risk management.
Decision Making: Works under direction with infrequent checks; follows established methods and clear-cut policy. Makes decisions when general instructions or established methods indicate action to be taken.
