YOUR DAY TO DAY

Clean and service the assigned public areas according to established quality standards and procedures. Assist with uniform and laundry duties.
Inspect and clean assigned areas according to established standards and procedures. Areas include public restrooms, lobby area, public phone areas, vending areas, hotel entrance and perimeter, elevators, swimming pool area, sun deck, fitness centre, business centre, employee areas and restrooms, banquet rooms, offices and others.
Mop and clean floors as needed, clean and polish all furniture, railings, table tops, mirrors in assigned areas. High dusting, vacuuming and window cleaning is also required. Replace all used supplies, linen and amenities.
Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions.
Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping.
Report, turn in, and/or log any lost and found items according to established procedures.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
Sort uniforms, assist with colleague uniform requests.
Pick up, and arrange for all off-site guest dry cleaning. Assist with in house guest laundry.
Assist houseperson with guest calls as needed.
May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Minimum: Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Some housekeeping experience required. Ability to speak and understand English is a must.
This job requires ability to perform the following:
Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds and pushing and or pulling approximately 100 pounds
Frequently standing up and moving about the facility
Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling,
Other:
Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees.
Basic reading, writing, and math abilities are utilized often when reading assignments, completing checklists, replacing linens and amenities.
May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
