CIBC PW Regional Manager (Private Banking) in Boston, Massachusetts

The PW Regional Manager (Private Banking) will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following activities individually and as a team leader:

  • Lead new high net worth client relationships and become trusted advisor through regular client contact and relationship building.

  • Ensure weekly CRM/Salesforce accuracy for pipeline/calls.

  • Establish and maintain effective partnerships and teamwork to ensure a level of service delivery that is professional, seamless and timely. Serve as client’s primary client advisor while introducing and supporting the team to deliver specific products and solutions. Cultivates relationships with referral sources and centers of influence to build the business; identifies and develops new business opportunities.

  • Guides client conversations for life driven wealth management through proactive advice.

  • Demonstrates a deep well rounded knowledge of Wealth Advisory solutions including banking products/offerings, asset management, estate and financial planning and capital markets.

  • Identifies opportunities for relationship expansion across all CIBC lines of business through referral opportunities to the appropriate experts to deliver specialized advice.

  • Contribute to the overall CIBC Wealth Management growth through the acquisition of new, high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients who have sophisticated financial needs, including banking investments, trust, and wealth advisory.

  • Develop and maintain personal referral source networks for calling on individuals, families and institutions to build a pipeline of business prospects.

  • Understands and complies with internal policies, processes and procedures to effect prudent risk management and judgment. Recognizes relationship risk issues and seeks appropriate resolution

  • Committed to invest, mentor and assist in the growth and development of others.

  • Work collaboratively with internal partners and external professional advisors in identifying client needs and goals and developing advice-driven solutions for clients.

  • Travels to meet with clients and teams where appropriate considering revenue, new business opportunities, or servicing requirements.

  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the CIBC brand.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Highly dynamic sales professional with a successful track record of leadership, business development, relationship management and proven ability to effectively gather wealth management assets and deliver banking solutions.

  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment, introducing the appropriate partners and suite of investment, trust, and banking solutions to high net worth individuals, families and institutions.

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in high net worth wealth management or a related asset, lending or deposit growth field.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of credit, lending, investment strategy, trust administration and wealth management solutions.

  • Series 7, 63 and 65, or 66, will not be held or required

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or advanced degree or certification including MBA, JD, formal credit training, CFP, CFA, CTFA or CPA preferred.

  • Exceptional presentation, verbal and written communication skills combined with a style reflecting an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for growth.
