Job Description:
The Department of History of Art & Architecture at Boston University invites applications for the 2025-26 Horowitz Visiting Professorship in American Art, a one-year position open to post-PhD applicants of all ranks. The Horowitz Professor will contribute to the Americanist community at BU by pursuing research in her/his area of specialization, mentoring graduate students, participating in workshops and other scholarly programming, and teaching one course per semester in a field that complements departmental offerings in 19th/20th century American art (broadly defined), architecture, and material culture.
Salary competitive and commensurate with experience; compensation will include additional support for research and travel. The Horowitz Professor is expected to be in residence in Boston for the 2025-26 academic year.
