This laboratory studies the signals that are generated in the retina and processed by diverse brain regions to generate visual perception and regulate physiology. The primary approach is to apply electrophysiological and optical techniques to ex vivo tissues, though other methodologies are also employed, such as in vivo experimentation and histological analyses. Assistance is sought for tasks that are essential for the research program. The hope is that the research assistant will become an active participant in the laboratory's scientific thinking and experimentation.
