Position Summary

CRISPR Therapeutics is seeking Research Associates to help with the development of LNP systems for in-vivo mRNA and gRNA delivery to support in vivo and immuno-oncology programs. A successful candidate will support the execution of characterization assays LNP batches. The position requires enthusiasm, passion, attention to detail and a desire to join a growing team to build formulation at LNP at CRISPR Therapeutics.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the lipid nanoparticle formulation process

  • Formulate RNAs and plasmids to support company’s in vivo and immuno-oncology programs

  • Perform routine analytical testing to characterize formulations in stability studies

  • Maintain thorough and detailed electronic lab notebooks and documentation records

  • Adhere to all laboratory safety requirements and procedures

  • Assist in maintaining general laboratory functionality, including lab equipment maintenance and the ordering and receiving of lab supplies

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline

  • Industry Experience

  • Research Associate I –  0-2 years

  • Research Associate II – 2-4 years or 0-2 years with advanced degree

  • Senior Research Associate – 4-7 years or 2-5 years with advanced degree

  • Principal Research Associate – 6-10 years or 4-8 years with advanced degree

  • Knowledge of process scale up/scale down

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Track record of intellectually challenging oneself to enhance scientific capabilities

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a results-oriented research team; highly organized with significant attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of GMP and GLP regulations

  • Knowledge of nucleic acid chemistry and biology
