Boston University RESEARCH FELLOW, School of Public Health, Department of Health Law, Policy and Management in Boston, Massachusetts
The Research Fellow, will oversee a variety of research functions to meet externally-funded research project objectives. The position will assist with cognitive interviewing and finalization of survey instrument, and with recruitment of post-secondary schools for national survey. Collects and assists with analysis of campus-level alcohol policies. Coordinate administrative details regarding subcontracts, consultants and grant reporting requirements. Plan meetings and conference calls to achieve research project objectives, and assists with analysis of survey data and development of research manuscripts.

- Assist with creation of cognitive interview instruments, schedule and conduct cognitive interviews, summarize interview findings and make recommendations for survey revisions
- Recruit, consent and enroll cognitive interview participants
- Manage subcontract and consultant relationships and coordinate and schedule meetings with collaborators
- Assist with recruitment of schools and related IRB issues
- Collect and assist with analysis of campus-level college alcohol policies
- Assist with analysis of survey data and preparation of manuscripts
- Master’s degree preferred with 1-3 years’ experience.
- Demonstrated skill using data management and quantatitive data analysis software i.e., SAS/SPSS/Stata, Excel.
- Strong writing skills and high level of organization.
- Knowledge of Federal regulations for sponsored research.
- Strong analytical ability as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of staff.
- Must be able to handle multiple competing priorities. Self-directed, team-oriented and customer focused
- Must be trusted with confidential information.
